Ladder Boot was born out of necessity more than 40 years ago by my father. As a contractor, he needed a reliable way to protect his customers’ exterior finishes when using an extension ladder. He could never find a product that effectively spread out the ladder’s weight to prevent damage to aluminum or vinyl siding, so he built his own solution.

Using spare aluminum awning parts and a carpet remnant, he created what he needed. Over the years, he made a few refinements, but the core design remains essentially the same and even now, there’s nothing quite like it on the market.

To this day, he won’t set up a ladder without his “boot” on top.

At 82, we finally decided it was time to pursue a patent and take a real shot at bringing Ladder Boot to the broader trade community. We genuinely hope you find it as useful as he has for all these years.
